i really need help with a stats question. We are computing how much more expensive or less expensive a selection of 12 book are from bookstore prices are than an online supplier like half.com and i know how to figure it out using paired data to find the difference and then find a confidence interval, however im having trouble with the next two questions they ask, how much a typical student pays for a semesters books, and also how much money, campus wide is overcharged by book stores. Does anyone kno how to go about answering these questions? we were taught that when asked "how much" it is a confidence interval, but i have no idea how to do it so that it relates to the two questions! Thank you
